 Is there any general admission procedure for Hungarian higher education institutions?
Each university defines admission procedure on its own, but general process and requirements are similar:
- for bachelor’s degree programs: secondary school/high school certificate with the final exam results (with official translation if the original document is not issued in English). Applicants studying in the last year of high school/secondary school can provide certificate stating their status instead of certificate of graduation;
- for master’s degree programs: bachelor’s diploma with the final exam results (with official translation if the original document is not issued in English). Applicants studying in the last year of bachelor’s degree can provide certificate stating their status instead of diploma.
- for doctoral degree programs: master’s diploma with the final exam results (with official translation if the original document is not issued in English). Applicants studying in the last year of master’s degree can provide certificate stating their status instead of diploma.
Besides these documents, some universities and departments can require additional documents (CV, motivation letter, medical certificate, recommendation letter, etc.) and personal attendance in entrance exam held in Hungary or in the office of the local representatives.

Can I get accepted without language certificate (TOEFL, IELTS, etc.) to degree programs?
